God has always sent watchmen and so He has today. But are we, as a Christian nation, listening to them and taking heed?
The scriptures are full of examples of God warning people of the dangers ahead. Sometimes they heeded and were saved, but most of the time they would not take warning and were destroyed.
So, how does this affect us today, in our homes with our families? Let me ask, "How did it affect the victims and families at the World Trade Center"? The time is fast approaching that no place in America will be safe!
The Lord has sent watchmen to warn us, many times, over the years, and we have not taken it to heart. We are a nation of "feel-good" Christians without the old-fashioned "fear of God" that our forefathers knew.
We are telling ourselves that nothing is going to happen to me or those I love. Instead, we need to be listening to the watchmen that God is sending to us. There is much danger facing our nation at this time. Turn your hearts again to God, and away from a "syrupy" Christianity.
Get real with God and He will get real with you!
Our nation has an army in Iraq. Armageddon is coming from the events now taking place around the Euphrates River. (Revelation 9:14-15)
This is the time for becoming watchful in your prayer-life, and walk with God!
Remember that God will never let you down if you put your trust in Him. He will spare His people with a great deliverance. The times are coming upon us, and our nation's Christians need to stop taking our relationship with the Lord for granted.
May blessings of God be with you in the times ahead.
2: Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4: Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5: He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. Ezekiel 33
