Vanity Thinking!
Too often, our minds are closed in by our own opinions. When we look to the left or to the right, there are steel walls keeping us in.
Then if we try to look down the road, past the steel walls that limit our thinking; we find that the result is not green, fertile, or prosperous, but dry and dead.
This is vanity thinking!
"Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain." (In context: Psalm 127:1-2)
But having faith in the
Word of God
is not vain thinking.
There are no steel confines surrounding your vision; instead it is fertile, prosperous, and green, always growing into something beautiful!
"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." Psalms 23:2
