Jesus told us that all scripture will be fulfilled. This makes me wonder why many Christians never read them. God who has all power, and who will fulfill all scripture, gave this world the Bible so we might know His Word. He expects His people to spend time in them. Scriptures (the Bible) is the only book we can read that tells us exactly how things are going to end--it also tells us how our lives are going to go: one way or the other depending on our choices. Because the word is so powerful, why do many Christians still spend time watching all kinds of TV, going to sporting events, playing video games, reading trashy books, and watching movies that are not worth anything? All these activities will destroy your life, and can bring mental sickness, through spending time immersed in them. There are many distractions in this life. Satan works this way. Anything that will keep you from the scriptures is a distraction! Yet way too many Christians still go about being a servant to those distractions. They are denying the power that God gave us to use, through His Word. They have cast it away for temporary pleasures! One hundred years ago there was a man of faith who worked many miracles because he read nothing but the scriptures. He never read other books, or newspapers; just the Bible. Yet, Smith Wigglesworth, through faith in the name of Jesus, raised the dead, healed the sick, and caused limbs to grow back, where there were none. All because he learned that the scriptures, contained in them "the word of power"; the power for healing and miracles. He was a man of faith. There are many who call themselves Christians today, who do not walk in this realm though they should be.
