Revival Preaching in the End Times

Many Christians do not want to see what the end-times hold for them. They do not want to go through trying times, or leave their worldly pleasures behind them. These are carnal Christians. This is the reason many have adopted the doctrine of the Church being raptured before the tribulation.

I have always felt that preparing to go through the Tribulation will make a better Christian out of us. If we do not have to go through it, we have not lost anything, but gained closeness with the Lord though preparing for the Tribulation.

However, if we believe that we are not going through the Tribulation, and end up having to go through it, then we will not be prepared at all! Between these two choices it seems spiritualy-wise to prepare ourselves to go through the Tribulation.

Now, that I have said this I want to say that the Holy Spirit has urged me to prepare for the Tribulation. I used to believe like most of the Christians do today; that we will not have to go through it. Yet, I never felt comfortable with how that doctrine lined up with end-time events written about in the scriptures. It was only after accepting that Christians are going through the Tribulation that all the events lined up clearly, and were logical.

I have a belief that the Holy Spirit is sufficient as our guide. He is to be trusted in teaching us, from the scriptures.

"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." 1 John 2:27

And because He is the spirit of truth, then I can believe Him for any doctrines, that He reveals concerning the end-times. Now, this also opens up trying temptations, for along with the Holy Spirit's leading will also come Satan to deceive and cast doubt. But, God is faithful, delivering us from false beliefs, if we are sincerely seeking Him.

Unfortunately, most of the doctrines found in denominational churches are not scriptural nor found in the Word. They are bound in men's wisdom, or founded upon men's traditions that have been perpetuated through many generations. This is why at various times, the Lord sends someone, who He seperates from organized church mindsets. The secrets of God do not rest in men's wisdom, but in the Holy Spirit's leading.

It was the Spirit of God who moved upon John-the-Baptist to live in the wilderness, preaching revival, which prepared the way for Jesus. Revivals have always followed along those lines. First the Holy Spirit causes someone to break away from men's wisdom, to start preaching from the wilderness with fire! Then comes Jesus among the people!

There can never be revival until first somene is moved by the Lord to seperate themselves from man's religious traditions.

" Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matthew 5:8

The largest example of this is going to be when He comes for His people at the end! There will again be "John-the-Baptist" preaching from those, who the Holy Ghost will separate from man's wisdom and organized religion. This will prepare the church for the coming of Jesus again.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: Malachi 4:5

There is and always has been holiness preaching, just before revival. Far too many churches and so-called evangelists, today, use worldly advertising strategies to promote revival, yet it never brings the repentance that comes from the heart. The kind of preaching that brings repentance and holiness will come before the return of Jesus. Through it, the church will made ready for the Lord's return. This has not happened yet.

It will take a fresh, pure, voice led by the Holy Spirit, who will give a trumpet call, as one crying from the wilderness, to bring this about. (The wilderness is a symbol of a place that is out of, and away from men's cities and religious methods.) It will not be a denominational voice, or one that preaches men's wisdom, but one, which will set souls on fire in the Holy Ghost.

There are many hungry Christians in the land! The Lord will make sure they are fed with

"John-the-Baptist" preaching, the kind that comes from the old-time, Pentecostal-fires! We have evolved into a nation of churches preaching prosperity, and the laying up treasures of this world, when the Lord told us to lay up treasures in heaven.

"So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Luke 12:21

True treasure has always been found in the Kingdom of God. So many have forgotten their first love, and are storing up worldly treasures. This is why we need revival, with the kind of preaching that will bring it.

"Wilt thou not revive us again: that people may rejoice in thee?" Psalms 85:6

Without a "John-the-Baptist" preacher, bringing a message of repentance, we will never turn from our worldly ways, or be warned to turn from them. I have found that when I preached messages like this, I was persecuted for them. Many hate preaching that warns against sin and worldliness, yet we need it.

The time is soon coming upon our nation that everything we know is going to change! Great political upheaval is on the way, even spiritual upheaval. If we, as a nation of Christians, keep turned towards worldliness, instead of God, then events will follow that will destroy us. It is very important to heed the warning signs. This is why God sends preachers to warn us. Let us pray that God will send Holy Ghost end-time preachers!
